The Australia India Institute @ Delhi offers a 4-week residential fellowship to outstanding mid-career Australian professionals, across disciplines, including those in public life, to apply for its Incoming Leader Fellowship (ILF) Programme 2017. Fellows will be expected to deliver a public lecture on a subject of international significance and produce an extended essay of approximately 5,000 words on the same theme, which will be published and widely disseminated by the Institute. Fellows are expected to contribute to the regular programme of the Australia India Institute @ Delhi and it is envisioned their presence will enrich the Institute at Delhi. The Australia India Institute @ Delhi will endeavour to customise each Fellowship to maximise interaction with peers across India.
A payment of $1500AUD covers residential accommodation, office space and local transportation expenses.
A detailed Curriculum Vitae, three references and a 400-word statement identifying the theme of the public lecture and essay, as well as reasons for the choice of topic must be included in the application. Selections will be made by a specially constituted jury and successful applicants will be notified individually.
The Australia India Institute in Melbourne and AII@Delhi invite you to participate in its new Victoria India Internship Program which it is rolling out on behalf of the Victoria Government and the Victoria State Department of Economic Development, Jobs and Resources. The Internship Program offers internship opportunities for Victorian undergraduate or postgraduate Victorian university students or recent graduates in disciplines including (but not limited to) accounting, commerce, business, information communications technology and engineering.
The Victoria India Internship Program, to be carried out in accordance with Victoria’s International Education Strategy 2013-2018, aims to strengthen relations between Victoria and India and connect employers with talented young Victorians in international workplace experiences or Indian workplace environments. The program identifies and offers internships in Indian companies and organisations based and operating in India and/or Victoria.
Eighteen internships will be offered in India and 4 in Victoria in each of 2017 and 2018. The internships will run between 6 weeks and 3 months depending on the nature of the project and its requirements. Host companies and organisations may choose to offer more than one internship position in order to complete a project. Internships may be offered in the form of paid internships or unpaid vocational placements adherence or appreciation to Australian workplace laws.

In November 2014 the Australia India Institute was awarded $500,000 in funding from Visy Industries & the Pratt Foundation to administer and plan the Australia India Leadership Dialogue (AILD) annually until 2018.
The AILD is a 2-3 day dialogue held alternately in Melbourne and New Delhi, with cabinet ministers, senior bureaucrats, members of parliament, business leaders, distinguished academics and leading journalists in attendance.
The second AILD in 2016 featured a keynote address from The Hon. Malcolm Turnbull, Prime Minister of Australia and included major discussions on Global Trade Policy Development, Education and Skills, Energy and Resources, Water and Food and Domestic Politics
